This specimen is a mockup of a steel bridge repair utilizing Ultra-High Performance Concrete (UHPC), sourced from the IH 610 crossing at the Houston Ship Channel. Although CBEI was not involved in the original project, this component was acquired through TxDOT for educational and display purposes.
UHPC is known for its superior strength and durability, making it ideal for retrofitting aging steel structures. This mockup represents one of the first implementations of UHPC in Texas infrastructure repair.
